The Mystic Knights are the number one Blues Band in the Pittsburgh area and in all surrounding States, now they are reaching across the pond to Europe.
The driving force behind the tri-State area Blues scene can be desribed in three words The Mystic Knights . Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, they formed at the historic Decade Club , nationally known as the region's "Home of the Blues". Since 1987 this band has logged in thousands of concerts all over the eastern USA, and have received no less than 10 in Pittsburgh Magazine Awards as televised and sponsored by the KDKA TV station.
Keyboardist Guitarist The strongest rhythm section around belongs to the Mystic Knights, with But the main attraction of this band is forty year veteran of the Blues and lead singer The group's status in the area has resulted in them sharing the stage with the world's finest Blues acts such as B. B. King, Johnny Winter, Robert Cray, Bo Diddely, John Mayall, and Koko Taylor just to name a few.
Their song, "The Bucs are Back" is featured as the theme song for the Pittsburgh Pirates Major League Baseball team and gets radio and TV air play before and after each game. They also make an appearance in an Iron City Beer TV spot which features the band performing live and doing their song "Spread Yourself Around" from their new CD entitled "Heart of Steel" . The CD is currently being released in the States and will be available here in Europe in early April.
The band also hosts their own radio show once a month that is broadcast live from the Blues Cafe on WYEP 91.3 FM, the Home of the Blues in Pittsburgh. The band also has radio air play commitments in Austria, Germany, Belgium, Holland, and Switzerland to begin in April.
