Res Rocket Client - Revolutionary Midi-Interface Software that allows remote clients to Jam Live! on the Net in Real Time!

This is not a sales pitch, this is a review. There's a difference. (It's not mine to sell!). But it's real and it's FREE!

The DigiJam section will be updated every time Wil finds some cool new toys! This is just the place where I will tell you about them.

Res Rocket Client (Resident Rocket Client) is really cool Midi software that you can download for free at http://www.resrocket.com that is your link to the real beast, "DRGN" and "The MUSE". "DRGN" is the software, and the "MUSE" is the place where you jam. MUSE = Multi User Studio Environment. The "MUSE" is a very large virtual complex consisting of 48 separate virtual studios in 4 different complexs with tech support rooms, libraray, cafés, lounges, bars, snack bars, live Music clubs, and an observatory.

You need a Midi-Interface card on your system to Jam, and minimum system requirements of Pentium PC or 486DX2/66 or better, Windows 95, at least 16 MB RAM, 10 MB Hard disk space for installation, and a screen resolution of 800x600 minimum, (1024x768 recommended).

You'll have to log on, download the DRGN software and get yourself an "Avatar" name, a password, and a desctription before you can Jam. You don't need your browser at all, the DRGN software does it on it's own.

While you are jamming you can chat with others, page friends who may be in studio # 8 or # 48, and they will get your call. There are many other features that make this a really cool set up. Things like weekly schedules of group meetings and jams and an events calendar where you will find different bands who meet regularly. There are even times when there are "Live Gigs" in real clubs and the Musicians are all around the world via the net. Wild stuff!

The very first CD ever recorded over the Internet was recorded in the "MUSE". The images on the left are it's front and back covers. It contains 12 cuts.

Wil rates this a "thumbs up"! If you're wired for Midi get Res Rocket by clicking on the image "Res Rocket Badge"! And start Jammin' Live on the Net!
